Alconbury Weald is situated on the north south rail and road spine of the country, with easy access to the East Coast Mainline and the A1. It has quick access East and West via the A14, which is currently undergoing a £1.5 billion upgrade, and is on one of the main routes of the Busway leading directly to Huntingdon, St Ives and Cambridge, or to Peterborough.

It is ideally located to explore the surrounding rural villages, enjoy the hustle and bustle of nearby market towns and experience the vibrancy and versatility of major cities.

Travel Times

Alconbury Weald is around 5 miles from the centre of Huntingdon, where you’ll find all the amenities you’ll need on a day-to-day basis. The Town Centre is around five minutes away by car and Huntingdon’s train station is a similar distance, affording you access to Peterborough (16 minutes), Stevenage (35 minutes) and London St Pancras (just over an hour). A rail station is planned for Alconbury Weald and work on connection roads to bring this forward will start next year.

Alconbury Weald also sits on the main bus route to Cambridge, connecting with the Guided Busway at St Ives, with additional prioritised bus routes planned to enhance this connection.  New residents get a month’s free bus travel to help explore the local routes.

Meanwhile, the homes are within easy access to the close proximity to the main road network, including the A14 for Cambridge and the A1 for travel to the north of England and London, and the A141 for journeys into the Fens and Norfolk.

For international travel, both London Stansted Airport and Cambridge Airport can be reached in less than an hour.
